Company Description

Phillip Rukavina performs throughout North America as a lute and vihuela soloist and as a continuo (orchestral) lutenist. He has appeared at numerous international Early Music festivals, including the European Lute Festival and the Lute Society of America's Summer Seminars.

 

If music can be compared to a journey, tonal music (music of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras) can be compared to taking a trip around the world. The modal music of the Renaissance era can be viewed like a comfortable stroll around the block. A richly detailed and lovely ‘stroll’ awaits you on these recordings!

 

The use of bilateral sound helps a person move from a state of dysregulation into a regulated state in the brain and body. These recordings make use of "hand panning," alternating the sound into the right ear and then into the left ear. This music is lovely and soothing by itself, and with the bilateral sound it can enhance self-soothing, relaxation, and preparation for sleep, as well as enhancing mental focus and creativity. Use them to meditate and decompress, manage anxious and reactive moments, as well as to enhance the processing of anxiety, depression, and trauma with a psychotherapist trained in Brainspotting.
