About the Training
Brainspotting and Inner BlindSpot Work
(formerly known as BlindSpotting)
Developed and Presented by Connie Johnshoy-Currie, Psy.D.
After engaging in the Brainspotting and Inner BlindSpot Work training, participants will be able to do the following:
1. Implement the pre-training inventory and blind spot assessments with clients, as well as on personal blind spots
2. Conceptualize awareness and the unconscious shadow
3. Describe what blind spots are and how they may impact a person’s full range of interacting, functioning, and excelling in life
4. Differentiate types of blind spots and how to identify them
5. Illustrate blind spots through metaphors
6. Navigate attunement to the individual client with flexible Inner BlindSpot Work guidelines for processing
7. Demonstrate basic Brainspotting and Inner BlindSpot Work set ups for processing blind spots
8. Integrate knowledge gained from observing a Brainspotting and Inner BlindSpot Work demonstration and two Inner BlindSpot Work practica experiences, one as a client and one as a therapist

Pre-Requisite: Completion of Phase 1 Brainspotting training is required.
Continuing Education Information: 7.5 CE hours are available through EngagedMinds Continuing Education for those who attend live online (approved ASWB, NBCC, and New York State Board for SW, LMHC, and Mental Health Practitioners) . CEs may be purchased here for $25 before the training begins. It is the attendee's responsibility to check with their state/province licensing board to verify continuing education requirements, as well as the CE policies listed in the link above, before purchasing.
California Psychologists are eligible for one professional development hour per the Board of Psychology in California. All participants will be provided a Certificate of Completion for their attendance. You may send this certificate to your state board to determine if the hours can be used for license renewal.
Materials: Materials will be sent digitally a few days before the training
Recording: This training will be recorded and may be available for sale after the training. Only participants who join the training live will have access to the recording for 30 days.
Refund Policy: Refunds are available (minus $50 administrative fee) until materials have been sent. No refunds are available after materials have been sent. You can always reschedule to a future training at no additional fee.

About Connie Johnshoy- Currie
Connie Johnshoy-Currie, Psy.D., is a Licensed Psychologist in Southern California.

BSP Approved Consultant and Specialty Trainer, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Certified in BSP and EMDR, CISM trained, EFT Trained, IFS educated, and Developmental Psychologist. Treatment specialty areas include PTSD, Complex PTSD and Dissociative Identity Phenomenon (DIP, DID), child and adolescents, developmental and structuralization internal work, parts work, and she works extensively with second responders (mental health providers).
Dr. Johnshoy-Currie provides a monthly Networking Consultation Group in both Brainspotting (since 2008) and EMDR (since 1998), currently via zoom.
She offers a monthly specialty consultation group for clinicians working with children and adolescents and for clinicians seeking to develop their competence in working with dissociative identity phenomenon and traumatic injury.
